Indian Navy’s Mig-29K crashes off Goa during a sortie, Pilot safe

Indian Navy’s MiG-29K aircraft crashed today while on a routine sortie off the coast of Goa due to a technical issue. The Navy said in a statement that the pilot ejected safely on time and was saved after a quick search and rescue effort. The aircraft crashed while returning back to base.

A board of inquiry (BoI) has been ordered to look into the accident’s cause. Since 2019, there have been four accidents involving the MiG-29K, and the reason for this particular crash will be known once the BoI completes its report.
