A young pharmacy Student from Davangere,India has invented a special ring for self protection of women
After the brutal Delhi Rape incident, it was not just the activists or the officials who started working on the issues of safety of women in the country, but also the innovators across the country.
Imran Khan, a young pharmacy student from Davanagere-India, was one of those innovators who was concerned about the safety of women, and started working on his device soon enough after the Delhi incident.

Imran says its a special ring for self protection of women. The ring injects venom into the body of attacker and causes intolerable pain .He named it 'Electronic protection ring' because of the way it works.
What does it consist: The device consists of bee venom in the formed of a mixed chemical, which upon entering human body causes massive pain and discomfort. It consists of two special pins through which the venom can be injected into the attackers body.
How does it work: The device has a special switch, which allows users(women) to shoot the pins like a dart into the body of attacker and cause massive pain and discomfort. Imran says, the chemical is so strong that it can cause highly severe pain compared to a normal bee sting.
However the device has not been completely tested yet,so it is difficult to say how effective it can be in real time, but Imran says that these kind of devices gives women a sense of protection and creates self confidence in them. Imran intends to release not so costly ring to the market very soon.
